Marmite and Guinness beer crisps
I think everyone must have taken marmite when they were young. It used to be my favourite flavour. Wahaha! I placed this immediately into my shopping trolley when I saw this. It has an unique and interesting taste of marmite but I find it a little salty. This is also available in Guinness beer. Yes! You didn't see wrongly. Do give it a try if you are into exotic flavours! Available at Meidi-ya at $1.95 for 32.5g.

Ultimate taste from Korea
I was expecting a lot more from KFC. This korean inspired spicy chicken has totally disappointed me. It just like pouring some not very spicy red sauce over the chicken and touching up with sesame. It tastes almost similar to their regular chicken and it costs $9.20 per meal with the shaker fries. Shaker fries are nothing worth mentioning about.

Innisfree Singapore! Now opened at Takashimaya
Free gifts that comes along with purchase!
As usual, I couldn't resist my temptation and bought tons of products again.
Very pro looking monitor which gave a detailed breakdown of what you have bought instead of the total price.
My free gift with $100 purchase!
The first 400 customers get to have a personalized handkerchief with your name on it. Too bad the customized service was stopped when it was my turn! So I only got the plain handkerchief!
You could also get your membership card instantly with any purchase. Welcome kit is provided too!
As compared to other Korean beauty brands that are sold in Singapore, innisfree's markup was less significant. The masks that are sold at 1000 won in Korea is selling at $2 in Singapore. Hence, it is definitely worth buying innisfree in Singapore!

Nivea latest innovation: In shower skin conditioner
Huh?! A what?! Skin conditioner? U meant hair conditioner right?
No!! It is a skin conditioner! A latest innovative product from Nivea - In shower skin conditioner.
Instructions on usage!
Skin does feel smoother after using and I supposed this product is targeted at lazy
people like me who wants improved and moisturized skin but kept giving excuses like "aiya, no time to apply so many things la". However, I spent a lot more time trying to determine whether it was washed off throughly and skin felt a little sticky. Floor was extremely slippery after using the product and it might not be appropriate for those who have elderly at home. They might slip and fall. Overall rating: 3/5
Duke Bakery at United Square
This is a new craze in Singapore! Duke Bakery! It is a bakery that specializes in making bread that is all-natural. It produces many different types of bread and they are all snatch up within minutes they got pushed out from the oven.
The shop on level one of United Square is always crowded and one pull factor is no doubt the generous amount of samples. One could try almost all the flavors at one go after going one round in the shop.
Do give it a try if you happened to be at the area although I feel that is a little overpriced and over-rated!

New alert: Nara Thai Restaurant at Ion
If the location of my previous workplace is unique and chic, the current one is definitely 花花世界! I checked myself into the newly opened Nara Thai restuarant at Ion, basement 3 during lunch hour.
Nara Thai has been voted one of best Thai restuarants in Thailand for many years and it has finally made its way to Singapore.
Let's us take a look at its menu.
Recommended dishes!
Seafood!
This is only a portion of the menu. There is more to it such as meat and fish dishes and the drink menu. My lunch today is Tom yum noodles with prawns. The taste of the tom yum soup is quite authentic but its portion size is definitely Thai inspired. It's so small that I was only half full after finishing the noodles. Price at $15.90, I was expecting a little more noodles. Service was good and waiting time for food was around 10 to 15mins.
I didn't tried their phai thai but the 2 ladies beside me were criticizing it. Hmmm..
This restaurant is worth a try but I feel that it is a little too pricey for the quantity of food served.

Chocolate hazelnut ice blended from Coffee Bean
I happened to pass by Coffee bean today and wanted to get my usual dose of Pure chocolate ice blended. However, I decided to try the new chocolate hazelnut ice blended instead. The new drink was alright but it had a tinge of coffee. I'm not sure whether it is due to the hazelnut component or from the 'not so clean' blender.
Detergent for makeup brushes and sponges from Daiso
All of us know the importance of keeping our makeup brushes and sponges clean but many are not willing to spend $15 to $20 on a cleanser just for that. Fear not, now you can get one for just $2 at Daiso. Made in Japan! Personally tested it out and it works wonders!

Macdonalds nuggets with wasabi and honey mustard sauce
Along with the hello kitty craze, macdonalds also came out with new sauces. Yeah! Wasabi and Honey Mustard. However, I feel that both sauces are lacking in flavor. Wasabi is not 'wasabi 'enough and honey mustard is not 'mustard' enough. Both taste more mayo-ish instead.

Royal milk pudding from Paris Baguette
I'm not a fan of milk products hence I always had my reservations about this highly raved milk pudding. I was walking around orchard with my pain throbbing wisdom tooth and was searching for light snacks that do not require me to chew on it. The royal milk pudding seemed to be the perfect choice at that moment. So I bought it and regretted why I didn't try it long ago. It isn't too milky and I totally love the caramel taste! It blended so well with the milk pudding. However, it is a little expensive for such a small volume of milk pudding. Nevertheless, you get to keep the cute glass container. Just take it as if you got the glass container for $2 and the milk pudding for another $2. Now, it looks like it is more worth the money! ^_^
Yummylicious ultra spicy Paldo Korean Ramen in Singapore

Ellenborough Market Cafe - Oishii Osaka
Was here again yesterday for their theme buffet - Oishii Osaka. As usual, there is a buy 3 get 1 free promotion with HSBC cards. Other promotions include 18% off with DBS cards and a 15% off with a lot of other banks such as HSBC or OCBC.
Oishii Osaka wasn't that satisfactory as compared to their seafood theme a few months back. I was expecting a lot more Japanese food but it only had its usual sashimi spread which was only salmon and another fish which I don't know what it was. Sushi rolls were badly made and it tasted like what you could get from Cold Storage. Green Tea icecream was the nicest food in the whole Japanese theme.
Overall, food was so so but it failed miserably if you classified it with the 'Osaka' tag as they tried to fit their not so Japanese food into the Japanese theme by adding it in their item tags.
A variety of Nonya dishes.

Wok fried Slipper Lobster with Japanese black pepper sauce. I think they just added the word 'Japanese' to fit into the theme as these tasted exactly the same as what I ate a few months back. |
Beef Katsu was weird. |
Japanese Chicken Kare was so so. |
I didn't take these (Sio Pai Chye with Nagaimo and Lotus Leaf Chicken) |
Green Tea Swirl. This was nice, it tasted like yam puff with yam replaced with green tea paste |
A spread of seafood. |
Fish with Wasabi sauce |
Sauces |
2 different kinds of soups but both are very salty |
Very nice green tea ice cream |
Durian Pengat |
Cheng Teng |
Rice dumplings in glutinous paste with coconut milk |
Prawn Tempura. The flour was thin but it wasn't crispy. |
Unique green tea swirl |
Seafood dumpling and Yam Mango Roll. These are quite unique and nice. |
Salad |
