Bali Thai Cafe at ION Orchard

It was so crowded at ION on a Saturday evening and we were in a rush so we popped by Bali Thai Cafe for a quick dinner since it didn't have any queue. I have always walk past Bali Thai and have never thought of trying since i'm always parked at the neighbouring Watami or Imperial Treasure. For that price tag and the quality of food served, I would definitely come back here again.

Create your own noodles! This idea is interesting.

Yummy Tom Yum Soup

Stir fried glass noodles with black pepper garlic sauce and prawns

Abalone festival buffet at Todai at Marina Bay Sands

This is my second visit to Todai and most probably the last visit too! My first visit to Todai was more than 2 years ago when Todai first opened its doors in Singapore. Being raved by many even before it landed in Singapore, I was anticipating its opening but the quality of food has greatly disappointed me. Being an abalone fanatic, I was attracted to its abalone festival so I decided to give Todai another chance. Oh boy! I shouldn't have gave them another chance. It is as disappointing but I must admit that Todai does have a huge variety.
So why are there so many good reviews online and the huge restaurant is almost full house on a weekday night? This is greatly dependent on individual. If u are someone who enjoys steamed crab and looking for a large quantity and variety of food then Todai is the place for you. My neighboring tables are eating away happily while I was taking regretful bites of mediocre food. Maybe my standard is too high? But I'm definitely someone who prefers quality over quantity.

Very small abalone and salmon sliced into absolute small slices that I have never seen before

Snow Crab

A large variety of Japanese sushi

Fish and bacon was ok, cereal prawns were overcooked and very difficult to peel, salmon was very hard.

Rows of meat waiting to be grilled.

Pizza and Korean rice cakes.

Kimchi was nice and that was about all. The rest were so so. Fries was cold and quite disgusting.

Beef

Snow crab!

Look at how thin the salmon is! The chef is going to cut it into even smaller pieces and refused to give us a bigger portion although we requested for it.

A lot of sauces

Fresh-looking vegetables but who really goes for a buffet for salad?

This tastes very horrible just like those frozen ones you could get at the supermarkets.

Desserts that are not worth mentioning. Yes! They are that bad.

Swiss rolls was a LITTLE better than the cakes.

Marshmallows with chocolate.

Hoong Woh Tung at Bugis

Situated besides a super famous and crowded temple in Bugis, it has a never-ending crowd walking past it. Ditch the milk tea and stop by for some cooling herbal tea for $1.50 and delicious herbal jelly(although it cannot be compared to those that you have in hongkong) for $5.50.

Fruitvege facial mask maker by Roman

As technology advances at an amazing speed, more and more beauty devices pop up every month. This one in particular caught my attention. Fruitvege facial mask maker is one interesting device that allows you to blend fruits and compress it into a sheet mask using ionizer.
The fruitvege facial mask maker is now going for $198 instead of $300 plus at all Guardian stores.

New: Kettle chips now come in a new flavor, Sour cream and Onion

My favourite potato chips is out with a new flavor!

Kkongdon Barbecue at Marina Square

This restaurant was full on a Friday night but this was my first and most probably my last visit to this Korean BBQ restaurant. Given that Kkongdon BBQ is a Korean chain restaurant, I had my expectations for them but they failed miserably as they serve substandard korean food.

This was possibly the nicest food in the restaurant. They were fresh and crispy.
Some of the side dish from the buffet counter. Namely, seaweed, radish, beansprouts, lotus roots and kimchi.

The take all you can side dish bar that comes with every set meal.

This is the most terrible rice cakes that I have ever eaten. The sauce is wrong, the texture of ricecakes is wrong, sotong tastes weird. Hmmm...
Meat for 2 persons.

An interesting way of induction. The bbq tray wasn't in contact with induction plate below but somehow the tray is hot.

Very salty miso stew with  tofu.

Bibimbap with the wrong sauce. The red pepper sauce just tastes odd.

Lowry's farm having a Fantasic discount for GSS

Great Singapore sale has officially started but most shops didn't have a Wah factor in terms of their discount rates. Lowry' farm is by far one of the few that has the Wah factor. It is 30% storewide and 40% if you purchase 2 or more items. This is a rare find as most Japanese brands do not have such good storewide discount! So hurry down to the latest lowry's farm now!
