This is one of the most lasting eyeliner that I have ever used. It comes in many colours with glitters. The tip is flexible and eyeliner could be easily drawn in a fine line. Retailing at $22.90 at Watsons.

Classic manicure and pedicure at Indulge Skin and Body lab, Star Vista
Bought a groupon deal online for classic manicure and pedicure with hydrating mask for $28. Honestly, this is one of the most satisfying manicure and pedicure that I have went to in these 2 years. Indulge is a beauty salon that offers a lot of treatments ranging from massage to facials and manicures. Hence, the 'nail' portion only comprises of 2 massage chairs at a little corner.
Tea was served promptly after we sat down.I like the fact at how the massage chairs are designed. There are 'wings' flying out from each arm rest which serves to hold your cups or those small little containers for you to soak your fingers in.
The bath soak for the legs has the massage factor in it too.
Something that I didn't expect was the application of mask to both the arms and legs and they are wrapped up with cling film to improve absorption. The mask serves to hydrate and whiten skin. After removing the mask, a short massage is also included.
My therapist for the day is Fu Yu or.. is it Shu Yu?! I didn't really catch her name but she is very skilful and detailed. Look at the amount of dead skin slogged off my feet!
Quite an extensive range of OPI nail colours.
My bimbo pink toe nails. Oil was applied before and after application of nail colours.
Shimmery pink nails! However, the nail colour was a little uneven. Due to the yellowish lighting in the store, I didn't even notice it until I left. Other than that, I have no complains.

Indulge's regular prices is a little steep, going at $66 for the classic manicure and pedicure. However, if you were to buy a package with them, it is going at around $50 for classic manicure and pedicure with sea salt (serves to soften skin) added into the water bath. One important point is that they don't not charge extra for festive periods and they give priority to their members. Indulge is in the middle of filing for CaseTrust so that their customers are protected if they ever close down.

Ellenborough Market Cafe - Seafood buffet, Now till end of March 2013
They are back with their seasonal buffet themes! This time round it is Sensational Seafood. At $58++ per person, this buffet is definitely worth going for. Come on and take a look at what they offer!
Some items that I forgot to take photos are the salad bar which normally I don't take during buffet. They do serve tea and coffee for the buffet as well! In general, the dishes are well-cooked and seafood is so fresh! This buffet is a steal and it is regretful that it is only available for a mere 15 days.
For HSBC cardholders, one dine free with every three paying adults! |
Japanese Section |
Nice creamy salmon |
A large variety of seafood |
This is so good! It has the texture of the usual shark fins soup. |
Traditional delights with 5 different toppings |
Sea cucumber |
Chilli crab and lobster was good! Chilli crab would be a lot better if their shells are cracked before cooking. It was a hassle trying to break their shells and getting your fingers all dirty. |
Yummy sea cucumber |
The biggest highlight of the the dessert section. A HUGE pot of durian pengat for durian lovers! |
Sweet potato soup and ah balling |
Pulut Hitam and Bubur Cha Cha |
Limited choices for cakes |
Muah Chee |

Mentholatum hand veil
Have always been eyeing this product when I'm overseas but never ever got my hands on this item as I do not need another hand cream given the fact I have so many unused ones at home. Nevertheless, I'm happy with the fact that it is here in Singapore!
The whitening hand cream has a slight scent of lavender and has UV protection while the red one is really moisturizing.
Retailing at $5.90 at Guardian.

Allure Nail Lounge at Serangoon Gardens
Allure Nail Lounge shared the place with a massage salon hence it was rather distracting as there were many people walking in and out the massage salon. Allure has a vast selection of OPI colours and they did quite a good job for my express manicure and classic pedicure. Oil was applied after manicure and pedicure was done. However, they could brush up on their service.

Innisfree masks - Manuka Honey and Red Cabbage
Among so many 1000 won masks that is available in Korea, I adored the ones from Innisfree the most. Unlike many other Korean brands that always leaves face sticky after applying, masks from Innisfree are lighter in texture and leaves face refreshed and dewy after application.

Lime restaurant at Parkroyal on Pickering Road
远看花红红,近看花有虫!This is my conclusion for Lime! With high ceilings, modern contemporary interiors and exceptional service, it leaves me to wonder why Parkroyal couldn't just give a little bit more effort on their food like what they did to doll up their hotel. There is nothing much to comment on their variety since they do not really have any to start with. Service was awesome but I think their staff need more training on their knowledge for buffet. Being in shock that there wasn't any raw salmon seen in the Japanese section, we asked whether raw salmon was offered in the buffet and the first waiter said he would check it out for us and soon comes the second waiter who blanked out at our question and said he would check it out for us. Our question was forwarded to the third waiter who gave us a 'No' answer. Well, is our question that difficult to answer? But well anyway.. let's take a look on what they have....
Cold cuts - 4 types only. Namely, Oysters (which always ran out), Scallops, Mussels and Prawns. |
4 kinds of salads |
Lime pie - Was very soft and mushy. Meringue on top of the pie was all melted and the cutted lime pie is like a gruesome mess. |
Smoked salmon that could be eaten. I would have enjoyed the fresh ones more. |
Tiramisu was ok. |
Local desserts taste terrible. |
Pies |
Fondue |
Something unique? Banana Sago in Coconut Soup. I gave this a miss since I totally dislike banana and coconut. |
Unfortunately, the bread and butter pudding just taste odd somehow. |
Signature dish for the Chinese section is fried fish beehoon. Well...I think any random food court could do better than parkroyal. Soup was very salty and fish wasn't fresh. |
Pasta section that only offers 3 kinds of pasta and sauces. |
Duck meat sushi was the only decent sushi offered. |
Awww.. So cute! Round cup with a round handle and round dish. |
Salad? |
Bread |
Cheese |
Ham and Smoked Salmon |
Cauliflower and white truffle oil soup - This is good! |
Pasta with creamy mushroom sauce. Portion is small which is ok since it was too salty |
Fried fish beehoon. Too salty and fish wasn't fresh. |
Lotus rice - Normal
|
Starting from left, clockwise,
1. Vegetables - Good. It is not too salty and broccoli is well cooked.
2. Cod fish - One of the nicest dish in the buffet.
3. Prawns and scallops are fresh.
|
Potato Salad - Potato was a little raw. E-fu Noodle - A little too watery but flavourful. |
Cute dish |
Tomato based pasta - I think I can cook better. |
A stupid design as it was difficult to pluck out the sticks. |
Sourish lime marshmallows - the texture is weird. It is too soft! |
Chocolate tart was the only nice one on the plate. |
Creme brulee seems not cooked. The taste of raw egg is very strong. |
Self decorated cake for friend's birthday |
Lime is having a 'Buy 2 get 1 free promotion' with UOB credit cards until end of April 2013 and it amounts up to around $136 for a weekday dinner for 3 persons. At $46 per person, I would definitely NOT come back again given the poor quantity and quality of food they served. However, Lime would definitely be the place to come if you need a nice place to chill out.
